The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been placed in Group A alongside the host nation Cote d’Ivoire following the draw of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
The draw was conducted at the brand-new Parc des Expositions, Abidjan, on Thursday.
Other teams in the group alongside Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire are Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.
In group C which some pundits termed “group of death” the AFCON defending champions Senegal are to slug it out with Cameroon, Guinea and The Gambia.
Twenty-four teams will be competing in the tournament scheduled to take place in January 2024 in Cote d’Ivoire as football fans across the world await the 52 exciting games of the African continent’s biggest sporting showcase.
