A new sheriff in town… Wasiu Lawal assumes office as Executive Chairman Ado-Odo/Ota LG

Hon. Lawal, who hit the ground running on resumption, demands a comprehensive report of various ministries in Ado-Odo/Ota local government.

Hon. Wasiu Adewale Lawal FCA, who was recently elected as the Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government has assumed office at the Council’s new authority figure.

The new Chairman, accompanied by party faithful and elected Councilors, stepped into the premises of the local government secretariat in Okesuna, Ota on Tuesday, 19th of November, 2024.

He was warmly received by the Head of Local government administration Mr Wasiu Babatunde Junaid, Director of Agric Mr Kayode Kikisagbe, Director of Water Supply & Environmental Sanitation Mrs R.O Olamoyegun, Director of Information and Sport Mr Sheriff Alabi and other members of staff.

Lawal, with his wealth of experience and vision for progress, is poised to usher in a new era of growth, development, and service delivery to the community.

In his address, the Council Chairman seeks support from the council staff for an impactful tenure as he promised to prioritise their welfare.

Earlier in his speech, the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mr Babatunde assured the chairman that he has the best team to work with and they are ready to give his administration the needed support for a better representation.

The HOLGA in company of other council directors took the Chairman on tour and inspection to all the offices and other local government facilities.
