Lagos state commissioner of health, Prof. Akin Abayomi has disclosed the cause of death of Oyo State former Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
Abayomi in a tweet on Friday revealed that said the former governor died of multiple organ failure following complications from COVID-19 infection on Thursday.
Newsheadline247, however, gathered that the late former governor will be buried today.
Sources close to the family reportedly informed late Ajimobi would be buried in Ibadan about 10:00a.m according to Islamic rites.
The 70-year-old, who had been on a life support machine since Friday at the First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos, after slipping into coma following coronavirus complications, finally reportedly died on Thursday.
Ajimobi was 70 years.
