Oyo State former Governor Abiola Ajimobi is not dead, he is still very much alive.
Fatima Ganduje-Ajimobi, daughter of Senator Abiola Ajimobi has said her father is ‘still alive’ following fast-growing rumour of the death of the former Governor of Oyo State.
The spokesperson of the family, Bolaji Tunji, had also labelled the death story as falsehood saying “the senator isn’t dead but very sick and needs all the prayers.”
But Mrs Ganduje-Ajimobi, in a swift reaction to the death rumour of her father which spread across like wildfire Thursday night, thanked all those who sent her messages but maintained Ajimobi is still alive.
“Thank you for all the messages but our father is still alive, alhamdulillah. When it is our time we will all die so wait first…,” she said in a tweet post.
Ajimobi, who was named the acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress on Tuesday, had been on quarantine for over two weeks, battling COVID-19.
