Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has applauded the inclusion of Nigeria’s ex-Minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, into the South African Presidential Economic Advisory Council saying it is proof that Nigerians are global.
The South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa, named Okonjo-Iweala, a former Managing Director, Operations, World Bank, as a member of the country’s Economic Advisory Council.
Cyril Ramaphosa heads the council which comprises local and international gurus.

Atiku, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, said Okonjo-Iweala’s inclusion in the council was good for Nigeria.
‘I congratulate Dr @NOIweala on her appointment into South Africa’s Economic Advisory Council.
“Her appointment by President @CyrilRamaphosa of South Africa is proof that Nigerians are global and capacity is indeed an asset that can be exported,” he wrote.
