Atiku Slams Tinubu Over Insecurity, Labels Administration Incompetent

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has sharply criticized President Bola Tinubu, accusing his administration of incompetence and a lack of solutions to Nigeria’s escalating security challenges.

Atiku specifically pointed to the recent killings in Logo and Gbagir communities of Ukum Local Government Area in Benue State as evidence of the government’s failure.

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia recently confirmed that 55 people were killed in attacks across Logo and Ukum LGAs. In response, Atiku accused the Tinubu administration of showing indifference to the ongoing violence, failing to demonstrate urgency or empathy for the victims.

In a post on X, Atiku wrote: “The Tinubu government has repeatedly shown itself to be incapable and clueless in addressing Nigeria’s worsening security crisis. This view is shared not only by opposition leaders but also by security experts and even some within the ruling party, who privately admit this truth.

“While innocent Nigerians lose their lives—like in Ukum LGA—the presidency remains unresponsive, lacking both action and compassion.”

Atiku further criticized Tinubu, who is currently in France and expected to return after the Easter holiday, for “governing Nigeria from afar” instead of tackling the nation’s pressing security issues. Read More
