Blitz 91.9 FM Team Visits Olota, Gears Up for Commercial Broadcasting In Otta
The visit aimed to seek the royal blessings of our most Revered Royal Father, Kabiyesi Olota, a veteran in the field of journalism
Blitz Radio Station 91.9 FM which birthed in Ota in August this year is set to commence full commercial operations in January 2025, bringing vibrant broadcasting services to the ancient commercial city of Otta Kingdom, Aworiland.
As part of its preparatory activities, the station’s top management team, led by its Head of Station, Mr. Busayo Olaifa, paid a courtesy visit to His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode), Olota of the Paramount and Ancient Otta Kingdom, Aworiland, on Friday, 29th November, 2024, at Ipeti Royal Square, Olota’s Palace, Enu Owa, Otta.
Accompanying Mr. Olaifa was a distinguished delegation, including the Olootu of Oruba Otta, Chief Bolaji Adeniji, who is the station’s Head of Business Development, Ms Boluwatife Odugbesan Head of HR, Mrs Josephine Amadi, Coordinator of programmes, Ms Blessing Oyeyinka and Mr John Adio both OAP and reporterd respectively
The visit aimed to seek the royal blessings of our most Revered Royal Father, Kabiyesi Olota, a veteran in the field of journalism. The management expressed their commitment to contributing to the dynamic media landscape of Otta, Ogun State, and Nigeria at large.
During the session, His Majesty prayed for the station’s success and urged its management to prioritize employing qualified indigenes of the community to their organisation both skilled and unskilled roles.
Kabiyesi Olota further assured the team of the unwavering support of the peace-loving people of Otta in helping the station achieve its vision, among others.
In his remarks, Mr. Olaifa lauded the visionary leadership of His Majesty, highlighting how it has transformed the Kingdom for a more economic growth in sustaining its status as economic hub and economic capital of Ogun State. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged that Blitz Radio Station would uphold its community social responsibilities while fostering development and inclusivity within the Kingdom.
