Bold, brilliant, and bodacious television host cum fashion icon, Denrele Edun is set to lead Nollywood to Governor Yahaya Bello’s Kogi State for the annual Best of Nollywood Awards come December 11 as host of the 2021 edition of the awards.
Based on the amount of buzz he has been generating, attendees are in for a roller-coaster of activities, especially since the host governor of this 12th edition, Governor Yahaya Bello has promised a BON Awards like no other.
With a promise like that from a man of quality repute, paired with Denrele’s energy, Kogi BON as many have taken to calling it, is certain to be a spectacle of entertainment excellence.
The multiple-award-winning Denrele started his television career as an actor at 11 when he played a presenter/producer on Kiddievision 101 on NTA Network. As an undergraduate at the University of Lagos, he modelled on several platforms before joining Sound City as a TV presenter post-UNILAG.
An entertainment personality whose style is both vivacious and controversial, Denrele’s emergence as host of the 2021 BON Awards sees him joining past hosts like Debo Macaroni, Tana Adelana, Gbenga Adeyinka, Helen Paul and many others.
