A former Minister of Aviation and a strong critic of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) led government have yet again taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari for saying he assumed office in 2005.
Buhari, while addressing his supporters in Ekiti State on Tuesday, told them that his government was cautious of the promises they made when they came on board in 2005.
Buhari was sworn in on May 29, 2015 after defeating Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the poll.
Fani Kayode, who shared the video of the blunder on his Facebook wall, said Buhari’s “affliction is terrible and is worsening.”
He wrote, “Buhari strikes again! Today as he addressed the crowd at his Ekiti rally he told them that he was elected into office “in 2005”.
“The senility and diseased mind that plagues this creature is getting worse by the day. Is this what some say should lead Nigeria for another 4 yrs? His affliction is terrible and is worsening. This thing needs care and not a second mandate.”
