The total number of confirmed infections in Nigeria has risen from 541 to 627 as The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 86 fresh coronavirus cases in the country.
NCDC gave the update on its Twitter handle on Sunday. It also said the total number of fatalities recorded from the virus in Nigeria increased from 19 to 21.
“Eighty-six new cases of #COVID19 have been reported: 70 in Lagos, 7 in FCT, 3 in Katsina, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Jigawa, 1 in Bauchi and 1 in Borno. “As of 11:50 pm on the 19th of April, there are 627 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 170; Deaths: 21,” the tweet read.
