…bail comes with tough conditions

Controversial artist Okikiola Badmus, widely known as Portable, has been granted ₦1 million bail by an Upper Area Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, following his arraignment for alleged criminal defamation, intimidation, inciting public unrest, and cyberstalking.

The bail comes with strict requirements: Portable must provide two sureties matching the bail amount. One surety must be the Chairman or Secretary of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, and the other must own landed property in a Government Reserved Area, supported by a valid Certificate of Occupancy.

A native of Oke-Osa, Sango-Ota, Ogun State, Portable must fulfill these conditions to be released. The court has adjourned the case, with the trial judge calling for calm as proceedings continue.
