Ota, Ogun State — All roads will lead to the ancient Awori town of Ota this December as celebrated Nigerian Disc Jockey, Kayode Akanle, popularly known as DJ Hotega, gears up to host the 7th edition of his annual entertainment fiesta — Hotamania (DJ Hotega & Friends).

Now in its seventh year, Hotamania has grown into one of the most anticipated grassroots entertainment events in Ogun State, attracting top entertainers, DJs, and fans from across Nigeria and the diaspora.

This year’s edition promises to be bigger, bolder, and more electrifying, as the iconic gathering expands into a two-day celebration themed around music, culture, and unity.

According to the organizers, the 2025 edition will feature:
Day 1: Fly Your Jersey Party — a high-energy night of music and football-themed fun, holding at 3AD Event Centre, Ota, on December 18, 2025.
Day 2: Class of the OGs — The Old Skool Affair — a nostalgic celebration of veteran entertainers and fans, slated for December 20, 2025, also in Ota.

Beyond the glitz, DJ Hotega emphasized that Hotamania remains dedicated to promoting youth development and positive social engagement through entertainment.

“Hotamania was created to encourage young people to find purpose and creativity in entertainment instead of indulging in social vices,” DJ Hotega said.

Speaking further, DJ Hotega explained, “Over the years, we’ve seen talents emerge, connections built, and lives changed through this platform. That’s what keeps the spirit of Hotamania alive.”

Over the past seven years, Hotamania has hosted some of Nigeria’s most celebrated music and comedy stars, including Kiss Daniel, Jaywon, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Lace, Joel, Stormy Zino, Fizzy Mayur, Obesere, DJ Baboo (USA), Koffi Tha Guru, Danku, Omo Jesu, and many more.

The event has become a meeting point for music veterans and emerging acts — blending modern entertainment with Ota’s rich cultural spirit.

“Hotamania has built a bridge between the new generation and the OGs. It’s where respect meets rhythm,” one of the organizers said with excitement.

Adding royal prestige to this year’s edition, the Olota of Ota, Oba (Professor) AbduKabir Adeyemi Obalanlege, Lanlege Ekun II, serves as the patron of the event — a reflection of the traditional institution’s support for creative youth engagement in the Awori Kingdom.

Event promotions and media coverage will be handled by leading platforms including Raypower FM, Faaji FM, Melody FM, Galaxy TV, TVC, and Newsheadline247.

As the countdown begins, excitement is already building across Ogun State and beyond. With jerseys ready, playlists loaded, and the OGs set to take center stage, Hotamania 2025 promises to deliver two unforgettable nights of music, memories, and magic.

“Ota will not sleep this December,” DJ Hotega teased. “We’re celebrating music, friendship, and the future of our creative youth. This is Hotamania — where the heat never stops.” Read More
