The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested an agent of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State with millions of naira on Saturday, the governorship election day.
The suspect was reportedly arrested by Nigeria’s anti-graft agency in Makurdi, the state’s capital.
The suspect claimed he is an agent of APC governorship candidate in Benue State, Emmanuel Jimeh.

“At the North Bank Area, Makurdi, a man was caught with large bags containing lots of money. While trying to arrest him, officers of the Commission were attacked and vehicles vandalised,” EFCC said
“Information gathered confirms that the money belongs to Emmanuel Jimeh, the gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Benue state.”
