EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has urged 404 newly graduated cadets to embrace integrity, discipline, and professionalism as they join the anti-graft agency

EFCC Boss Charges 404 New Cadets to Uphold Integrity, Discipline at Passing-Out Parade
The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has charged the Commission’s newly graduated cadets to embody the highest standards of integrity, discipline, and professionalism as they begin their careers in Nigeria’s foremost anti-graft agency.
Olukoyede delivered the charge on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Passing-Out Parade of 404 cadets held at the Nigeria Police Mobile Force Training College, Ende Hills, Akwanga, Nasarawa State. The graduates consist of 294 Detective Superintendents and 110 Detective Inspectors.
In his address, the EFCC boss reminded the officers of the weighty responsibilities they now bear as custodians of the Commission’s anti-corruption mandate.
“Being an operative of the EFCC carries heavy responsibilities of personal discipline, integrity, courage and accountability. The EFCC has zero tolerance for corruption and compromise. You are coming into an organisation that places a high premium on integrity and rectitude,” Olukoyede stated.
He further emphasized that integrity at the EFCC is not a mere slogan but a core principle that defines the Commission’s operations.
“Integrity is not a slogan; it is who we are. Punitive measures against corruption within the EFCC remain stringent. You must fit adequately into the mould of officers that are well-rewarded and morally upright. It is often said that he that comes to equity must come with clean hands. Nothing can be truer than this. You cannot offer the nation what you don’t have,” he warned.
Olukoyede also urged the cadets to see themselves as ambassadors of accountability, reminding them that their conduct on and off duty would shape public trust in the Commission.
The Passing-Out Parade marks another milestone in the EFCC’s ongoing effort to strengthen its operational capacity in combating economic and financial crimes across Nigeria.
Observers at the ceremony noted that the fresh cadets, drawn from different parts of the country, bring renewed energy to the Commission’s mission to rid Nigeria of corruption, money laundering, and other economic crimes. Read More
