Hon Aina Nurudeen Akinpelu, a former member of Ogun State House of Assembly, has urged Muslims to extend the spirit of kindness and love they exhibited during the holy month of Ramadan for a better and progressive society as they celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr amid COVID-19.
Akinpelu, the current Commissioner II of the Ogun State Judicial Commission, stated this in a chat with newsheadline247 while felicitating with Ado-Odo/Ota local government and Ogun State Muslim communities.
He noted that the holy month of Ramadan is a period for cleansing of hearts which avail every Muslim an opportunity of rebirth adding that such physical and spiritual transformations should be adhered to till the next Ramadan.
He said, “Though this year’s Ramadan was observed amid the coronavirus pandemic, a trying period that has put the globe on its knee but the faith exhibited by Muslims all over the world during Ramadan would see the human race through this calamitous moment of our existence.”
Akinpelu, who also commended the good people of Ado-Od/Ota and Ogun State for their support in the fight against COVID-19, enjoined them to always stay safe and comply with the laid down rules from the state government and other relevant authorities.
