Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has announced that he was tested negative for coronavirus.

The governor made this known via a post on his twitter handle on Friday.

 “I just received my test result from NCDC and it is negative. Thanks to all for your concern,” Fayemi tweeted.

“This, however, calls for continued vigilance on the part of everyone. Covid-19 is real and we cannot afford to be complacent,” he added.

Fayemi, who is the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), had on Thursday appealed to his colleagues to test for coronavirus.

The governor, urged members of the forum to test for coronavirus while recalling that most them attended the meeting of the NGF last Wednesday.
