The governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has ordered the reopening of all schools in the state with effect from Monday, October 26.
This is coming barely five days after the state government ordered the closure of all schools in the wake of the crises that followed the #EndSARS protests across the state.
According to a statement signed on Sunday by Mr Kunle Somorin, the governors Chief Press Secretary, Abiodun said peace has returned to all parts of the State.

The peace, he said, was as a result of the suspension of the protest.
The statement said, “This is to announce to the general public that all schools are to resume academic activities tomorrow, Monday, the 26th of October, 2020.
“With peace returned to all parts of the State after organisers suspended protests,” Government said it has “no reservations, whatsoever in reopening schools tomorrow.”
