It was fun-filled moment at the paramount ancient palace of Olota of Otta, Awori Kingdom, yesterday, 20th December 2022 as the wife of Otta most revered royal father, Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege, in her usual way hosted pupils across several public primary schools in Otta and its environs to a memorable children’s Christmas party.
The Olota of Otta, the Olofin Apesin Olode, His Royal Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege who was well represented by the Seriki of Otta, High Chief Olarenwaju Bashorun, described the initiative as thoughtful and timely. He charged representatives of various school in attendance to be well behaved, and to consider the platform as an opportunity to grow, and foster unity among themselves. “May God in His infinite mercies continue to enrich Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege and her entire team.” He concluded.
At the 2022 edition of the Children’s Christmas Party, various schools within the axis of Otta such as; St. Michael Primary School, AUD Practicing Primary School, Zion Methodist Primary School, ODC School 1, Sango Otta, ODC School 2, Sango Otta, ODC School 3, Sango Otta, ODC School, Otun Otta, St James Primary School, Local Government Primary School, Owode Tuntun, Local Government Primary School, Obeere, Iju-Otta Primary School, St. Peters Primary School and others were well represented and participated in the party, including representatives from the four(4) Quarters in ancient town.
Respected monarchs and Chiefs in attendance includes; Ajana of Ijana, Oba Clement Olusegun Akinyemi, Akogun of Oruba Otta, Alayeluwa Oba Wadudu Deinde, High Chief Oladele Adeniji (Odota of Otta), Rtn Kayode Taiwo(Palace Secretary), Chief (Mrs) Olayinka Atipiji, Chief Mrs Ramota Ibikunle.

In her Goodwill message, the Awori queen, Olori Obalanlege assured the kids and other guests that the event will continue to be a platform to discover and build future leaders for the prosperous Otta Kingdom. She equally thanked all dignitaries at the event for their support while charging all and sundry to remain responsible in their daily activities as we look forward to Christmas and the New Year.
