OGUN STATE, NIGERIA — Former governor and Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator (Otunba) Gbenga Daniel, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the 30-day Ramadan fast.
In a goodwill message shared on his official Facebook page, the lawmaker joined millions of Muslim faithful in celebrating the successful completion of the sacred period of fasting, prayer, and devotion.
He offered heartfelt prayers for the Muslim Ummah, saying, “May Allah SWT shower His endless mercy, blessings on you all and accept your Ibadah.”
The statement further read, “I join my faith with millions of Muslim faithful across Nigeria, Ogun State, and most especially Ogun East senatorial district in celebrating the completion of the mandatory Ramadan. May Allah SWT shower His endless mercy, blessings on you all and accept your Ibadah.”

Senator Daniel, who represents Ogun East in the National Assembly, used the occasion to identify with the spiritual significance of Eid-el-Fitr and the values of faith, sacrifice, and renewal it represents.
The former Ogun State governor has continued to maintain a strong presence in the Senate, recording what supporters describe as an unbroken chain of achievements in his first term—an outing that has fueled growing calls for his return to the upper chamber in 2027.
As Muslims across the country mark the festive season, the senator’s message adds to the wave of goodwill and prayers accompanying this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration. Read More
