Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State and the party’s candidate for the Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general election, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as Presidential Candidate of the party at the recently held convention.
Isiaka hailed Tinubu, saying his victory is well deserved and a testimonial of his political sagacity and investments in people over many years. The statement reads in parts:
“I hereby extend my sincere congratulations to the national leader of the APC on his emergence as our party’s presidential flagbearer. It was a competitive primary and his victory is a testimony of his well-advertised political sagacity and investment in people; in all his years in progressive politics”.
“Asiwaju is a leader of leaders and his clout has never been in doubt. He has again demonstrated the undoubted capacity to strike water out of the rock. No doubt, he has paid his dues and the outcome of the primary is a payback of many sacrifices and compromises”.
GNI called on all aspirants to close ranks, embrace the winner and unite to present a formidable fight at the polls.
He said, “I salute all other aspirants for the courage to dare the odds and making the primary competitive. They are heroes in their rights and I urge them to close ranks and join the winner to work for the success of the party at the main election. The challenge ahead is daunting and only unity of purpose can deliver the ultimate victory for the party”.
