He That Alleges Must Prove: Pastor Chris Okafor Speaks on Doris Ogala Saga

The founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, has finally addressed the controversy surrounding his alleged relationship with Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, breaking weeks of public silence amid growing social media debate.

The cleric spoke on the matter on Sunday during a marriage thanksgiving service at his church, following reports that Doris Ogala was arrested at her residence on Saturday, December 20, 2025, after accusing the pastor of failing to fulfil an alleged marriage promise.

In a video from the service that has since gone viral on social media, Pastor Okafor maintained his innocence and emphasised that allegations must be proven under the law.

“He that alleges must prove,” the cleric declared.

Okafor told his congregation that he deliberately chose silence after what he described as divine instruction, despite the emotional toll of the accusations.

“Though it can be painful that you are misrepresented for what you are not, what you have never seen or known in your life, we leave it there for now. Thanks be unto the Lord,” he said.

The pastor further stated that responding publicly to the allegations would amount to dignifying falsehood.

“We will never dignify a mad devil by replying. That would amount to glorifying the devil,” he added.

Reaffirming his faith and personal conviction, Okafor said his relationship with God remained unshaken.

“Since I grew up, I have known this man (God) as my father and nobody can tell me anything about him… No outsider knows my father more than I do,” he told the congregation.

Addressing the legal dimension of the controversy, the cleric stressed that the matter had moved beyond public opinion and was now before the appropriate authorities.

“There’s a law in this country that works, we follow the law. And the law is taking its course. Everything you say to anybody, you must prove it in the law court,” he said.

Okafor explained that his refusal to disclose details publicly was to avoid compromising ongoing investigations.

“Because the authorities are in the matter, I cannot say it in public… I will not jeopardise the investigation and the court process that has ensued. He that alleged must prove,” he reiterated.

The arrest of Doris Ogala has continued to generate intense reactions online, with debates spilling across social media platforms and drawing responses from fellow celebrities and influencers.

In one notable reaction, a popular Nigerian influencer publicly called for Ogala’s release and threatened to expose what he described as alleged criminal evidence against Pastor Okafor and some of his associates.

As investigations continue, both parties remain under public scrutiny, with legal proceedings expected to determine the outcome of the highly publicised dispute. Read More
