Fulani herdsmen on rampage in Benue hours after Osinbajo’s departure, kill three
Three persons have been reportedly killed and several others chased away and out of their comfort zones after suspected killer Fulani herdsmen attacked a community in Benue State.
Newsheadline247 understands the attack came barely 24 hours after the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo left the state.
It was gathered that the latest attack occurred on Thursday in Ukemberagya community, Gaambe-Tiev Logo LGA of the state.
A resident, who gave his name as Joe, was quoted saying three people were shot and killed while several houses were also set ablaze during the attack
He gave names of the victims as, Bem Torjem, Apedzan Chia and Ikpuku Peven of Tse Koya.
“The affected settlements are Tse-Mue, Torkaa, Mgbakpa, Torjem and Ifer villages.
“They came at a time farmers were on their way to the farms. There is palpable fear as everybody has now deserted the area,” he said.
