Salako said he never knew what he considered as fun could earn him a lifetime honour

The Central Planning Committee of the just concluded Iganmode Cultural Festival led by the Chairman, Aare Ayodele Bankole, the Otun Mayegun of Otta, received Mr Taofeek Salako, on the 19th December 2021 at the Palace of the Olota of Otta.

Bankole in his opening remarks applauded Mr Taofeek, who is popularly known as Eba in the community, for his zeal and patriotism, he further described him as a good Ambassador of the youth constituency whose selfless service has earned him the face of Odun Omo Iganmode.

A cheque of N100, 000 was presented to him as an appreciation of his efforts towards the preservation of our cultural heritage and was thereafter made the official ‘ Iganmode Ambassador’.

In his response, Mr Salako expressed his unquantifiable appreciation to the Central Planning Committee for the unexpected honour. He further made it known that he never knew what he considered as fun could earn him a lifetime honour. He assured the committee of his readiness to always make himself available for the cause of promoting the rich culture of the Aworis through the annual event.

Other distinguished members of the Central Planning Committee in attendance include; the Central Planning Secretary, Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi, Chairman Sub-Committee(Logistics), Chief Temitayo Idowu (Otun Bobagunwa of Otta) and Tourism doyen, Prince Femi Fadina.

The Central Planning Committee equally seized the opportunity to appreciate and acknowledge the support of all and sundry in achieving a successful 2021 Odun Omo Iganmode.
