Organized labor has decided to suspend its planned strike action, just one day after launching nationwide protests against the removal of fuel subsidies.

On Thursday morning, Festus Osifo, the President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), revealed this information in an interview with Arise news.

According to him, the Labour leaders who had previously met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu were able to obtain commitments regarding some of the issues discussed during the meeting, which will be promptly implemented.

He clarified that the strike was suspended due to this reason.
