A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has described Nastura Ashir Sheriff, the young man who organized and led a peaceful protest against President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina State, as a rising star in Nigeria politics.
Sheriff recently led scores of northern youths to protest incessant killings and other blood-letting crimes in the Northern Region of Nigeria. He was arrested and released by the security agency.
His arrest sparked chains of reactions from right groups and activists across Nigeria.
Fani-Kayode, who also described Sheriff as humble and polite in a tweet on Friday night, said people like him who are not afraid to speak truth to power and stand up to tyranny are the hope of Nigeria
