Kwara Govt Takes Over Newly Completed Adeta Primary School Amid Jubilation

The Kwara State Government has formally taken possession of the newly completed and imposing Adeta Primary School in Ilorin, marking another milestone in Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s drive to transform public education infrastructure.

The handover ceremony, held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, was attended by top government officials, community leaders, and representatives of the Emir of Ilorin. The atmosphere was one of joy and pride as stakeholders lauded the governor for delivering yet another landmark educational project.

Leading the government delegation was the Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, alongside the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Segun Ogunshola; Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Jiddah; and SUBEB representative, Alhaji Abdulateef Sholagberu.

Also in attendance were Special Assistant on Women Mobilization, Hon. Monsurat Lawal, and the General Manager of KWASSIP, Dr. Tejidini Abdulwasiu Olayinka. From the traditional institution, the Balogun Alanamu represented the Emir of Ilorin, while community leaders — including Alangua Adewole, Alhaji Yakub Yusuf Adewole, Alhaji Ghali Alaaya, and Mallam Abdulmajeed Temidire (popularly known as Aburo Gomina) — graced the occasion.

Although the facility is yet to be officially commissioned, the handover signifies the readiness of the state to put the modern learning centre into use, reflecting its commitment to improving access to quality education for children in Kwara. Read More
