The anti-corruption agency has restricted movement in and around the house
Officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have blocked off the Abuja home of Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi state, as part of an ongoing investigation.
The anti-corruption agency has restricted movement in and around the house located on Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4, in Abuja.
This development occurred about a month after the EFCC charged Ali Bello, the chief of staff to Usman Ododo, the current governor of Kogi, with money laundering, and named Yahaya Bello as a co-conspirator in the case.
Ali and Daudu Suleiman are the two defendants in the 17-count amended charge, which alleges that they illegally diverted about N100 billion from Kogi state’s government treasury.
