The annual Medical Rhapsody of the Naval Officer’s Wives Association (NOWA) took place in the ancient City of Otta today, 2nd October 2023.
The wife to the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command, Mrs. Adarena Nwatu led other wives of Naval Officers to the Palace of Olota and Ruler of the Paramount & Ancient Ottaland, Awori Kingdom, His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege P.hD, MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode) for a Royal blessing in commencement of the official flag off of this year’s medical rhapsody.
The NOWA (NAVTRAC) command coordinator, Mrs Nwatu, thanked His Majesty for his consistent royal support, understanding, and prayer in ensuring peaceful operation of Naval Officers in Otta and its environ.
While calling for more collaborations between the Nigerian Navy and host communities, she commended the people of the Kingdom for their hospitality and cooperation, among others.
In his remarks, Kabiyesi Olota welcomed the team to the Kingdom. His Majesty urged the team not to relent in giving their best towards enhancing security and other means at which stability could be maintained throughout the country.
His Majesty prayed that Eledumare would continue to guide their operations and make them wax stronger in the discharge of their services to the nation.
The outreach featured free medical consultation, eyes test, vital signs check, blood pressure checks, free medication, distribution of palliatives (well packaged), and school items to students (bags, writing materials and others).
