It is no more news that Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), in the process of producing a superlative performance in the first half of the 2020/2021 Nigeria National League (NNL) Group B1, emerged the team with the least number of goals conceded.
With a very tight defence, the Oluyole Warriors let in just three goals in the eleven matches played in the first round, conceding two goals at home and just one goal away.

CHARLES TAMBE – 4 games, 3 clean sheets
The former Abia Warriors safe hand was in between the sticks in the matches against Rovers of Calabar in Ijebu-Ode, Giant Brillars in Enugu, Delta Force in Ogwashi-Uku and FC Nilayo in Ijebu-Ode
While he kept clean sheets in the 3-0 win over Rovers, 1-0 victory over Giant Brillars, the 1-0 triumph over Delta Force, he was only beaten via a spot kick in the 3-1win over FC Nilayo.

OKANLAWON LAIDE (MON) – 4 games, 2 clean sheets
The FIFA U-17 World Cup gold medalists also manned the posts four times. Against Go Round in Ijebu-Ode, Stationery Stores in Lagos, Nnewi United in Oba and Vandrezzer FC in Ijebu-Ode.
He was unbeaten in the 3-0 victory over Stores and the 2-0 win over Vandrezzer but was unlucky in the 2-1 triumph over Go Round and in the 0-1 loss to Nnewi United.

OGUNDARE DETAN – 2 games, 2 clean sheets
The former U-20 national team goalkeeper was called to duty on two occasions, against Osun United in Ijebu-Ode and Ekiti United in Ado-Ekiti.
He did well to concede no goal in the 3-0 bashing of Osun United and the goalless outing against Ekiti United.

DEDE DARE -1 game, 1 clean sheet
Dede featured once in the first round and that was in the tie against Dynamite Force of Iyharmo in Ijebu-Ode.
He was unbeatable in that encounter as the stars cruised to an inspiring 3-0 victory.
A commendable performance from the former Go Round goalie
Summarily, the four goalkeepers, under the tutelage of former Super Falcons’ goalkeeper’s trainer, coach Lateef Yusuf, convinced all that they can stand the test of time.
Expect greater exploits from the quartet when the second round begins.
