The Afonja Warriors Kwara United are back on top of the Nigerian Professional Football League’s log table, after a five-nill trashing of Adamawa United in Ilorin, Jude Stephen scored a hattrick while Michael Ohanu put in a brace.

With the latest results, Kwara Utd are now on thirty points while Adamawa United are rooted to the bottom of the table on just eleven points.

Two away wins were recorded in Lagos and Bauchi. Akwa Utd ran away with a 2-1 victory over host NFM FC in Lagos. Mfom Udoh and Ikechukwu Uwani got the goals for Akwa while MFM’s consolation was scored by Paul Obata.

In the second away victory recorded, Nyima Nwagwa and Ebuka David were the goal scorers for Kano Pillars as they saw the better of Wikki Tourists in Markudi. Stephen Chukwude scored the Tourist’s consolation.

In other results, Abia Warriors continue their impressive form as they trounced Katsina United 3-1, while Heartland FC and Warri Wolves shared the spoils in Owerri and Lobi Stars humiliated Rivers United 4-nil.

Today, Sunshine Stars who have been banished to Lagos have a mountain to climb to redeem themselves as they welcome the Elephants of Aba, Enyimba FC to the Agege township Stadium, it will be a tough duel between Rangers International and Nasarawa United in Enugu, both teams are on twenty-seven points, so it’s going to be fight-to-finish, in Uyo.

Dakkada FC entertain Plateau United of Jos and FC Ifeanyi-Ubah trade tackles with Jigawa Golden Stars to round up the fixtures.
