Oba Otudeko Shifts Focus to Mentoring Future Business Leaders After Five Decades of Unmatched Success
Nigeria’s leading investor and industrialist, Oba Otudeko, has set his sights on mentoring the next generation of business leaders, aiming to foster a positive societal impact through entrepreneurship.
Having stepped away from both executive and non-executive roles in organizations, Otudeko is now prioritizing the development of future business trailblazers. A statement from his legal representative, Olasumbo Abolaji, confirmed that the octogenarian no longer seeks top positions in any organization globally.
“At 81, and after five decades of significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth, Dr. Oba Otudeko is focused on mentoring the upcoming generation of business leaders and promoting societal progress through enterprise,” the statement reads.
“He has no interest in taking on any executive role in organizations, either within Nigeria or abroad, nor in joining any new boards aside from those he currently serves on. This includes any speculation about returning to the board of FBN Holdings Plc. FBN Holdings, with its rich 130-year legacy, holds a special place in Dr. Otudeko’s heart, and he believes the institution is well-positioned to continue thriving under its strong foundation.”
In addition to his extraordinary business achievements, Otudeko has engaged with some of the world’s most renowned entrepreneurs and is an active member of several influential business circles. These include his involvement with the Office of Distinguished Friends at the London Business School and his role on the Africa Regional Advisory Board of the London Business School, as well as his service on the Presidential Advisory Council for Nigeria’s Industrial Revolution Plan.
Otudeko’s legacy continues to inspire as he looks toward empowering the leaders of tomorrow. Read More
