Some members of staff of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State have been sacked following economic hardship caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

Head of Human Resources, Administration and Procurement, Olanike Ogunleye, made this known in a statement.

Why explaining reasons for the mass retrenchment, Ogunleye blamed the development on the overwhelming adverse impacts of coronavirus on the organisation.

She further pointed out that the COVID-19 outbreak has made it impossible to sustain the workforce of the organisation.

The multi-million naira presidential library is owned by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
