Ogun deputy Gov Salako-Oyedele visits APC chieftain, Soji Olusesi in Ota, commiserates with family over death of their matriarch, Fausat Olusesi

Salako-Oyedele prayed for the peaceful rest of the departed wife and mother even as she urged the family’s full trust in the Almighty Allah for strength and direction

Ogun State deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele on Sunday paid a condolence visit to APC chieftain, Alhaji Surajudeen Adesoji Olusoji and family over the death of the family’s matriarch, Alhaja Fausat Iyabode Olusesi.

Alhaja Olusesi passed away last week following a brief illness.

During the condolence visit to the family, Salako-Oyedele conveyed governor Dapo Abiodun’s healthfelt message saying that the governor sends his deep sympathy to the entire family while urging the family to stay strong. She added that, “the governor prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved family during the trying period of grief.”

In her own sympathy message, the deputy governor personally condoled with the family, friends and associates of the deceased, noting that her good work will continue to speak, particularly about the many lives she touched with her trademark charity, kindness and love.

Extolling the virtues of the late Alhaja Olusesi who was the Iya Sunna of Ota, Aworiland, Salako-Oyedele prayed for the peaceful rest of the departed wife and mother even as she urged the family’s full trust in the Almighty Allah for strength and direction.

She added that Alhaja Olusesi lived a remarkable life of impact and she was loved by all.

“I sympathise with Alhaji Olusoji Olusesi, the children and the enitre family on the demise of our dear mother. This must be a difficult moment for the family and I pray to Allah to comfort all loved ones left behind.

“May God strengthen Alhaji Olusesi, the children and the entire family and give them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” she prayed.

In her remarks, the first daughter of the family, Princess (Mrs) Afolashade Olusesi-Adekanmbi expressed profound gratitute as she commended the state governor and his deputy for their heartfelt messages of comfort while the family grief over the loss of their priceless matriarch.

“On behalf of the entire Olusesi family, I want to let you know that we are honoured with your kind visit and heartfelt messages. Please, kindly convey our humble appreciation to the governor and the entire Ogun State government,” she said.

Speaking further, Mrs Olusesi-Adekanmbi descirbed the deputy governor as a woman of endless virtues who has been an inspiration to the woman folk and girl-child.

“Your excellence, I thank you specially for this visit, we are humble as this means so much to us. Your distinguished qualities as woman, mother and leader has become a key inspirations to all of us as women and by extension a role model to the girl-child. We look up to you and you have not disappointed us in all fronts. Thank you so much for the visit and kindest words, we won’t forget this for a long time,” she said.

Among those in the Deputy Governor’s entourage include former Commissioner in the state, Chief Jide Ojuko, former Ado-Odo/Ota LG Chairman, Chief Oladele Adeniji (Sparrow), SSA to the governor, Mr Rahman Salako, Mr Wasiu Lawal, Mr Kayode Taiwo and former Rep member Mr Kazeem Salako among others.

The deputy governor later rose to sign the condolence register.

She wrote; “Inna lilahi wa Inna liehi rajiun 

“You were a great mother and role model to all of us. We will surely miss you. 

“May Almighty Allah accept your good deeds, overlook your shortcomings and grant you Aljanah Firdaus.”
