The palace of Olota of Otta has responded to a report headlined ‘Amosun, Alake, Olota May Lock Horns Over Territorial Crisis’ describing it as ‘’blatantly false allegation by a faceless person and published by a fly by the night online site.’’

The Palace, in a statement signed by Prince Sulaiman Olusesi, the personal assistant and media aide to Olota of Ota, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege, insisted the report making the round emanated from mischief makers who are bent to impede an unprecedented peace and calmness currently being enjoyed in Otta, Awori Kingdom since the monarch ascended the throne of his forefathers.

In the statement which was made available to newsheadline247, Olusesi said, “there was never a time where the Olota of Otta directly or indirectly harassed anybody or group of people under any guise.”

The statement read in part, “The attention of Olota Palace has been drawn to a blatantly false allegation by a faceless person and published by a fly by the night online site, “newsflagship”.

“It was erroneously reported that the state governor, Sen Ibikunle Amosun (FCA), Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Aremu Adedotun may be at loggerhead with our Royal Father, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege over an unfounded allegation that Egba Settlers in Otta, Aworiland are being threatened.

“We wouldn’t have dignified the attention seeker with a response but it becomes necessary so as not to misinformed the public. To set the record straight, there was never a time where His Royal Majesty, the Olota of Otta directly or indirectly harassed anybody or group of people under any guise.

“Let us assure them that no amount of evil machinations from them or people of their ilk can truncate the growing cordial relationship between Olota, Alake and Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

“Let it be noted that the relationship between Olota, Alake and the Governor is at its best and it will continue to be so because the peace of the state is paramount.”

Olusesi, however, urged the public to disregard such spurious allegations which was deliberately planted to disrupt the peace currently being enjoy in Ado-Odo/Ota and it’s environs.

“However, the public should not take the publication serious as such spurious allegations are deliberately being planted to disrupt the peace we are currently enjoying in Ado-Odo/Ota and it’s environs.

“Olota of Otta is a man of peace and he has been justifying this through his engagements, he has been in talk with other traditional rulers within and outside Ogun State preaching the gospel of oneness amongst all sons and daughters of Oduduwa.

“He always reiterates this in any of his visit “We are all from the same source, the blood of Oduduwa runs in our vein, we speak the same language not minding the intonation, hence there is no need for us to be engaging ourselves in battle”.

Olusesi added that Olota is a respecter of law saying “His Royal Majesty will never resolve to violence in getting what truly belongs to the Aworis if such arises even in the face of unwarranted provocations.

“Awori people are known to be Peace loving and will continue to accommodate settlers most especially Otta as a commercial city. It may interest you to know that various non-indegene group have been paying homage to His Majesty while the relationship between the palace and the various community groups is cordial,” Olusesi said.
