The Ondo State Governorship Screening Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded the screening exercise of the twelve aspirants angling for the party’s ticket at the July 20 primary election.

The two-day screening exercise which started on Wednesday and concluded on Thursday saw the incumbent Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and five other aspirants passing through the eagle eyes of Tijjani Tumusa led 9-man screening committee at an undisclosed hotel in Utako, Abuja.

Other aspirants screened on Wednesday were Amb. Joseph Olusola Iji, Chief Odimayo Okunjimi, Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelaml mni, Chief Issacs Kekemeke Duerlminl and Chief Olusola Oke.

At exercise on Thursday, it was gathered that the remaining six other contenders were grilled by the screening committee at the same venue.

Those screened on Thursday include lfeoluwa Olusola Oyedele, the only female aspirant, Olajumoke Olubusola Anifowoshe, Awodeyi Akinsehinwa Akinola Colinus, Olubukola Olarogba Okunola Adetula, Dr.Abraham Olusegun Michael and Dr. Nathaniel Adojutelegan.

Efforts to get the chairman of the committee, Alhaji Tijjani Tumusa failed as our Correspondent could not reach him as at the time of filing the report.

Meanwhile, the appeal of the outcome of the screening exercise is scheduled on the Ondo State Governorship Primary time table for Friday, July 10 at the party Secretariat in Abuja.

The 9-man led Screening Appeal Committee led by Alhaji Umar Lawan-Kareto will be handed over with the report of the screening exercise, in the event of an objection by any of the aspirants.
