Onikosi of Osi-Otta, Oba Anibire Passes On
Oba Sikiru Ishola Anibire, the Onikosi of Osi-Otta Awori Kiingdom, has been announced dead.
Adeyemi Sulaiman, the Secretary to Olota of Ota, made this known in a statement made available to newsheadline247.
According to the statement, the Onikosi-in-Council has formally informed Olota of Ottaland, His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege, of the Onikosi’s transition.
The statement read; “In adherence to the sacred traditions of Ottaland, a delegation from the Onikosi-in-Council arrived at Ipeti Royal Square to deliver the solemn message.
“The Balogun of Otta, High Chief Isiaka Idowu Balogun, received the delegation on behalf of His Majesty.
“Kabiyesi Anibire was a dedicated and visionary monarch whose reign brought remarkable progress and development to Ottaland. His legacy will forever be remembered.
“May Eledumare grant him eternal rest and give his family, as well as all sons and daughters of Ottaland, the strength to bear this great loss.
“The burial rites commence immediately, and all commercial activities in Osi Quarters will be suspended from 10:00 PM tonight until 8:00 AM on Friday, March 22, 2025.
“Furthermore, vehicular and human movement along Osi will be restricted between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM tonight to allow for traditional rites.” Read More
