“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.”
Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammad Buhari is dead.
His death was announced by the Nigerian presidency early hours of Saturday.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, made the announcement in a statement.
“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.
“May God accept his soul. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly”, Adesina stated.

In March, the late Abba, Kyari without exhibiting any symptoms, ran a test based on medical advice and was tested positive to COVID-19 a few days after returning from an official trip to Germany.
