Primate Ositelu Endorses Senator Gbenga Daniel for Second Term at Church of Lord’s Centenary Celebration
His Holiness, the Primate of The Church of the Lord Worldwide, Most Rev. Dr. Rufus Okikiola Ositelu (PhD), has openly endorsed Senator Otunba Engr. Gbenga Daniel (OGD) for a second term in the Senate.
The endorsement came during the 100-year anniversary book launch of the Church held at the International Headquarters in Ogere Remo, Ogun State.

Founded in 1925 by The Most Rev. Josiah Olunowo Ositelu, The Church of the Lord Worldwide has grown into a global Christian denomination with thousands of branches across continents. The Daniel family shares a deep historical connection with the church — OGD’s late father joined in the late 1930s and went on to pioneer several branches in Ibadan, Ifo, Idogo, Benin, Sapele, Port Harcourt, and also served in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and other mission fields.
Senator Daniel himself has maintained a longstanding relationship with the church, regularly attending the iconic Mount Tabieorar Prayer Festival, a tradition that has spanned many years. He is also the Asiwaju of Remo Christians, a revered title within the Christian community of Remoland.
Speaking at the book presentation, Primate Ositelu commended Senator Daniel for his “wonderful contributions to the growth and development of Ogun State” and praised his “unprecedented representation of Ogun East in the Senate.” The Primate’s endorsement was met with applause from the congregation and invited dignitaries.
The event was graced by notable clerics and church leaders including Archbishop Olusina Fape, Bishop of Remo Diocese and Anglican Archbishop of Lagos Province; Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Adekunle, CAN Chairman, Ogun State; Rev. Prof. Deji Ayegboyin of Bowen University; Apostle Bankole Fabusoro; Rev. Canon Prof. Kalesanwo; Dr. Solomon Badejo, among others.

The endorsement adds a major spiritual and community boost to Senator Gbenga Daniel’s growing political momentum ahead of his second-term bid. Read More
