Rabiu, Dangote Donate ₦5bn to Arewa Consultative Forum Endowment Fund

BUA Group chairman and founder of the ASR Africa Initiative, Abdul Samad Rabiu, on Friday led the launch of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) Endowment Fund with a major philanthropic gesture at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Conference Hall in Kaduna.

Rabiu, who served as Chief Launcher, announced a ₦2.5 billion donation to support the ACF’s mission of driving socio-economic advancement across northern Nigeria. His contribution was immediately matched by fellow billionaire industrialist Aliko Dangote, bringing their combined support to ₦5 billion.

The launch formed part of activities marking the ACF’s 25th anniversary celebration, which drew northern political leaders, traditional rulers, top business executives, and thought leaders to Kaduna for strategic discussions on regional development.

According to the organisers, the endowment fund is designed to bolster education, entrepreneurship, and wider socio-economic growth across northern communities. It will also provide a structured financial base for long-term programmes targeted at uplifting vulnerable groups and strengthening human capital in the region.

Checks further revealed that Rabiu’s donation complements the ongoing philanthropic work of the ASR Africa Initiative, which maintains an annual commitment of $100 million to health, education, and social development projects across Nigeria and the African continent.
