Omoyele Sowore, the co-convener of RevolutionNow, on Monday declared that he is ready for the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government saying they are in court to attend to their (Federal Government) ridiculous charges.
Sowore, who contested under the platform of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the 2019 presidential election made the disclosure to journalists inside the courtroom of an Abuja Federal High Court.
Sowore, the publisher of online news platform Sahara Reporters, was arraigned alongside his co-defendant, Mr Olawale Bakare.
He described the new charges levelled against him as “ridiculous.”
The Federal Government had re-arraigned Sowore on a seven-count charge bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism.
Sowore, who was re-arraigned before Justice Justice Ijeoma said: “We are in court, of course, to attend to their ridiculous charges and we are ready for them.”
NAN reports that the operatives of the DSS sneaked the Publisher of Sahara Reporters through the backdoor into the courtroom.
Sowore appeared full of energy and was smiling all through as he exchanged pleasantries with lawyers.
This is coming one week after Justice Taiwo Taiwo ordered the release of Mr Sowore after a detention order the judge issued against him elapsed.
