Senator Gbenga Daniel, representing Ogun East at the national assembly has sent his warm felicitations to a former governor of Ogun State and a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Aremo Olusegun Osoba on his 84th birthday.
OGD, as Senator Daniel is fondly addressed by cult followers and admirers, is also a former governor of Ogun State who raised the standard of governance with unprecedented enviable records as head of the state government from 2003 and to 2011. Osoba governed the state from 1999 to 2003.
A congratulatory message obtained from his verified Twitter handle, @JustusOGD, described Osoba as “a man who has distinguished himself as a journalist with a remarkable political career.” OGD stated that 84 years is short for his predecessor’s caliber.

“Chief Segun Osoba and I share a long history of relationship. Only a few people know that he is my in-law, as my dear wife, Yeye Olufunke Daniel, is from the Osoba clan in Abeokuta. As he marks his 84th birthday today, I share in the joy of his family and all associates. 84 years look shorter for a man who has distinguished himself as a journalist with a remarkable political career, including governing our dear state, among other national leadership roles. I join other well-wishers to celebrate him and wish him many more years of God’s goodness,” Daniel wrote on his Twitter handle.
