Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna central, has described the attack on the leaders of the Northern Elders Forum from the presidency as ‘’allergy to truth’’.
The Northern Elders Forum under the leadership of Ango Abdullahi had on Sunday declared the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as a total failure going by the insecurity and economy situations in the country.
The Forum, in a statement made on Sunday by Dr. Hakeem baba-Ahmad, the NEF Director, Advocacy, claimed it warned Nigerians from voting for Buhari adding that the ex-military head of state had nothing to offer them. NEF further expressed that the president has failed to improve the economy and tackle insecurity.

The group further said the Buhari-led government appeared helpless in finding solutions to the numerous challenges the country is faced with.
The presidency, however, in reaction to the northern elders’ declaration, described the forum as a body that lacks credible membership.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, described NEF as a “one-man army” and accused Ango Abdullahi, NEF chairman, of showing antipathy against President Muhammadu Buhari before the 2019 election.
Adesina said, “Hearing that title, you would think the body was a conglomeration of true elders. But the truth is that NEF is just Ango Abdullahi, and Ango Abdullahi is NEF,” he said.
“It is a quasi-organization that boasts of no credible membership, and its leader is akin to a General without troops.”
Shehu Sani in his reaction to alleged Adesina’s attack on the northern elders said the presidency reaction depicts ‘allergy to truth’ adding that the federal government should embrace the bitter, uncomfortable and inconvenient truth of the elders and make amends.
The former Senator noted this in his tweet post on Monday.
He said “Attack on Northern Elders is allergy to truth. If Professor Ango Abdullahi is a General without a troop, the ones with troops are unable to save us from d menace of kidnappings & killings.
“The Govt embrace the bitter, uncomfortable & inconvenient truth of the elders & make amends.”
