Nkechi Blessing Opens Up on Disturbing Script Offered at Start of Nollywood Career

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has opened up about one of the most disturbing challenges she faced at the start of her acting career.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, the movie star revealed that she was once handed a script that required her to sleep with a dog — a role she immediately rejected.

She explained that although she was still a newcomer, she knew accepting such a role would have long-lasting consequences for her career and public image.

I didn’t want to be renowned as someone who sleeps with dogs in movies,” she said.

According to her, several other actresses quickly accepted the role after she turned it down.
“So, I rejected that script. But immediately I threw it down, so many girls grabbed it. I’m not sure any of them are in the limelight today,” she added.
