The singer also clarified that his new romance is not the cause of the marital tension between him and his wife, Annie.
Tuface Confirms Relationship with Edo Lawmaker Natasha, Says ‘I Want to Marry Her’
Amid the announcement of his separation from Annie Macaulay, Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface or 2Baba, has confirmed his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.
With rumors of their relationship circulating, Tuface caused a stir on Monday when he appeared at the Edo State House of Assembly during a plenary session. While many on social media speculated about the reason for his visit, others viewed it as a confirmation of his romance with the Edo lawmaker.
The legendary singer addressed the rumors in a video post on his Instagram account early Wednesday morning. Confirming his feelings for Natasha, Tuface stated, “Yes, I love her. I want to marry her.” He emphasized, “I said what I said. All of us will be alright… Honourable Natasha has been unfairly attacked and labeled a homewrecker. She is a young, brilliant, and amazing woman.”
Tuface made it clear that his new love is not responsible for the issues in his marriage. “She has nothing to do with what’s happening between me and Annie. However, I see everyone trying to unfairly involve her in this situation. Yes, I love her. She is amazing, she is cool, and I want to marry her,” he added.
In January, Tuface shocked social media when he announced that he and Annie had been separated for some time and had filed for divorce. He stated, “Hello to my beautiful people across all federations. What I have to say is both brief and extensive. Annie Macaulay and I have been separated for a while and have filed for divorce.
“I will provide a press release soon to share my side of the story—not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my fans, and I need them to understand my innocence or offense. Stay blessed, my people. I love you all.” Read More
