UNILAG Student Receives 2025 Alsvin Mikano Car as MTN Campus Invasion Winner
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has hosted a presentation ceremony to officially hand over a brand-new 2025 Alsvin Mikano car to the winner of the MTN Campus Invasion competition, marking a major highlight of the telecom giant’s youth engagement initiative.
The vehicle was formally presented to Babatunde Ayomide Emmanuel, a 100-level student of Industrial Mathematics, during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor’s office, attended by university executives and the winner’s parent.
The handover was performed by the Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, Professor Folasade Tolulope Ogunsola (FAS), who praised MTN Nigeria for its sustained investment in youth empowerment and educational development across the country.
Commending the initiative, the Vice-Chancellor described the gesture as a strong example of responsible corporate citizenship.
“It is truly gratifying to witness a private sector entity not only providing essential services but also directly investing in the future of our students,” Professor Ogunsola said. “This vehicle represents a significant start for the young recipient.”
Babatunde emerged winner of the ₦35 million brand-new Alsvin Mikano car, one of the flagship rewards of the recently concluded MTN Campus Invasion programme, which was designed to promote customer engagement and loyalty among students.
Expressing appreciation during the ceremony, the elated student said the experience was unforgettable.
“I am deeply honoured and genuinely grateful to MTN Nigeria for this extraordinary gift. Receiving the keys with my parent here from the Vice-Chancellor today marks a momentous occasion that I will never forget,” he said.
“This car is a pivotal asset for my future endeavours, and I thank everyone involved.”
The beneficiary noted that the vehicle would play a crucial role in advancing his entrepreneurial aspirations, while also serving as motivation for other students to participate actively in innovation-driven opportunities.
