Senator Shehu Sani, the lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly provided reasons former President Olusegun Obasanjo and President Muhammadu Buhari still exchange pleasantries whenever they meet despite political differences.
President Buhari and Obasanjo met and shook hands before the commencement of the National Council of State meeting at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday.
This came up barely 24 hours after the former President released a statement condemning the Buhari administration.
Obasanjo had attacked President Buhari on different occasions within 48 hours.
Both leaders seem to be getting along with when they met at the Council of State meeting yesterday.
Shehu Sani explained that what is binding the two politicians is thicker than “the paste of their politics.”
In tweet on Tuesday night, Senator Sani added, “PMB and OBJ: Don’t be shocked when you see them shake hands and smile.
“The glue of their history is thicker than the paste of their politics.
“The pillar of their class interest is stronger than the emotions of their fanatics.”
