“Odun Omo Iganmode Afeleja” is the biggest annual cultural festival in Ota Aworiland
As part of the activities of the 2021 edition of the Iganmode cultural festival, the Central Planning Committee of the event has said there will be a day-long ‘free medical outreach program’ to cater for the aged and less privileged in Otta, Ado-Odo/Otta local government area of Ogun State.
It also said a charity visitation to Ijamido Children home would round up the first day of the week-long biggest cultural fiesta in Aworiland.
Chairman of the committee, High Chief Aare Ayodele Bankole, mentioned this when he highlighted activities of the “Odun Omo Iganmode Afeleja” which kicks off on the 13th of December this year.
According to him, the humanitarian gesture backed by the Olota of Otta, Oba (Professor) Adeyemi Obalanlege, will benefit the aged and others who are in need of health care support.
“There will be a free Medical Outreach program to cater for the aged and the less privileged members of the community. It will be a day-long affair with medical personnel on ground at the palace attending to people needing medical attention.
“Day One will be concluded with a charity visitation to Ijamido Motherless Babies Home,” Bankole stated.
The “Odun Omo Iganmode Afeleja” is the biggest annual cultural festival in Ota Aworiland. The 2021 edition comes with the theme; “Culture: A Module For Sustainable Leadership In Nigeria”. The ancient town is gearing up for an unprecedented week-long display of the Awori cultural values and ethics.
