… All the intrigues uncovered!

Adekunle is very accessible and he is well loved by people, both old and young…”

Nigerian political scene appears to be getting interesting by the day with different political players working hard to get into the hearts of the voting public.

This is not different in many parts of Ogun State, and in Ado-Odo/Ota area of the state in particular, where the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Federal House of Representatives in 2023, Hon. Mustapha Sikiru Adekunle aka Banana, has been connecting with his people.

Sources revealed that with the past and current activities of Banana in the area, he is the candidate to beat and that there are strong indications that he would defeat the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election, Hon. Tunji Akinosi.

It was gathered that unlike Akinosi, Banana emphasises the welfare of the residents of Ado-Odo/Ota, even long before he was given the ticket to compete for the coveted office.

Banana, we were told, is very accessible and he is well loved by people, both old and young.

The successful politician is said to be a big time agent with Premier Lotto, owned by Adebutu Kessinghton aka Baba Ijebu.

“He has thousands of people working for him in Ado Odo/ Ota. Two weeks ago, he donated N500,000 (five hundred thousand naira) for the development of Sango-Ota Central Mosque.

“He has been buying Okada (motorcycle) for young men in the constituency and he gives out to them out free of charge since the past three years.

“He has also been helping young graduates secure jobs all over the place and he has been paying medical bills of families,” said a source.

Investigations further revealed that Banana regularly pays school fees of secondary school students and undergraduates, and that he is like a hero to women, young ladies and old men whose needs he meets regularly.

This, we were told, is different from what obtains with Akinosi, who they said has little or nothing to show that he cares for the people that he wants to represent.

“What did he do for us as a commissioner in the state. He should give us his score card. We don’t know him and we believe that he is a joker.

“Tell him to point to one project that he brought to Ado-Odo/Ota. We can no longer be deceived. We are now exposed. The likes of Akinosi don’t love the people. We will go with Banana.

“Banana is a man of the people, who knows what we want and we will be glad to help him get to the green chamber so that he can do more for us,” a resident, who gave his name as David, told us, adding that they are ready to give the PDP a chance in the area this time around.
