Young entrepreneur and philanthropist, Okikiola Abayomi Oludegun, has expressed his intention to run for a seat in the Ogun State Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 election.

The youthful businessman will be vying for the position of the Ota State Constituency 1 seat in the state assembly

Oludegun made the declaration during a meeting with elders of his unit and ward in the Sango-Otta area of Ado-Odo/Otta LG, Ogun State.

According to him, his core goal was to overhaul the physical structure and human development of Otta State Constituency 1 in order to improve its position as a top industrial and commercial hub in the state and Nigeria at large.

Oludegun, the Chief Executive and Managing Director of Bizenol Group, owners of Kiekie’s Bakery, is known among the youth and elders of his constituency as a selfless philanthropist who supports many people in various capacities.

He is also an employer of labour with over 100 people working in his establishments.

If elected, Oludegun promised to make use of his office to focus on the unity of the constituency and facilitate the transformation of physical structures, particularly the major link roads in the area as well as provision of more primary health care centers, improved security, education and development of human capital.

He said Otta State Constituency 1 is bigger than many local governments in size and population hence, the need for a total transformation of its physical structures adding that such development will boost the revenue generation of both the council and state tremendously.

Oludegun, popularly known as ‘Kiki’ is a graduate of Leeds University, Ibadan Oyo State.

He has since ventured into business upon graduation, a step he took after his mother, a respected popular businesswoman in Sango-Otta.
