State Assembly speakers who were elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday, held a meeting with the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, who is seeking to contest the presidency in 2023.

Tinubu, while speaking at the event which held in Lagos, said he has the necessary experience and qualifications to lead Nigeria well.
In a statement by Gboyega Akosile, spokesman to the Lagos governor, at the meeting, the speakers promised to work towards supporting Tinubu.
Abubakar Sulaiman, chairman of the conference of speakers and speaker of Bauchi house of assembly, commended Tinubu for being a great leader.
“Asiwaju Tinubu, we are fully aware of your aspiration to become the president of our country. I give you the assurance that members of the state legislative houses will be willing and ready to work with you on this goal,” he was quoted as saying.
